Building a Haunted Igloo! Gariwald the Contraption Chap!

Building a Haunted Igloo!

Great theme means great scares! By Aunt Arctic — Haunted igloos are one of my favorite Halloween traditions. It’s great to trick-or-treat around the island and see all the crazy decorations! Sometimes they’re fun and kooky, and other times they’re really scary! Here are some tips to make your own eerie igloo.

Old mansions are always a popular choice. A bookshelf here and some ghostly wisps there and you’ll have a fine haunted house. You can even stand behind a statue and pretend to make it talk! There are also some creepy cave igloos that are perfect for a more monstrous feel. I’ve even seen werewolves and Frankenstein monsters jump out and scare guests. Or maybe you want a more classic look that invites your friends in? Some jack-o’-lanterns and orange lights make a lovely beacon to bring in trick-or-treaters. After all, the best part of a haunted igloo is sharing it with your friends!

Gariwald the Contraption Chap!

A ghostly great uncle. By Gary the Gadget Guy — Greetings! It’s almost my favorite time of the year... Halloween! And I’m extremely pleased that my great uncle is visiting. I haven’t seen him since the Halloween of 2012. You see, Gariwald is a dedicated paranormal investigator—he learns about ghosts! He’s so dedicated he even turned himself into a ghost with the Ghostamatron 3000! He’s come back to the island to examine the paranormal readings coming from the Puffle Hotel. He brought along neat equipment too. Antique ghostcatching tools like traps and power conduits! I hope we get to do some experiments when he’s done. Like, how do ghosts react to seeing the amazing Night of the Living Sled?!

What costume are you going to wear?–Count D.
Isn’t that just the question! I love to make Halloween costumes each year. I mix and match pieces from Penguin Style and ones I make myself. I haven’t finished this year’s yet, and Halloween is right around the corner! But once I do get it done, I won’t be telling anyone what I am.I love walking with trick-or-treaters and being totally incognito. But here’s a hint—it’ll be a character from my favorite movie! Happy Halloween everyone!

Wizards or witches? Which one works?

What’s the best group costume?–Maude Usa
Hmm. The only time I make matching outfits is when I’m designing new disguises for an EPF operation. To get started, gather your friends. Then figure out what pieces you all have. If everyone has a collection of pirate gear from the Fair, then you should be working with that! Feel free to mix up the classics. A crew of pirates isn’t a rare sight on the island. But a crew of rainbow monster-foot pirates might really make an entrance! You could even put a twist on Club Penguin’s most famous group, the Penguin Band. Why not try a zombie version of Franky, Petey K, Stompin’ Bob, and G Billy?
