CONTEST! Halloween Igloo Decorating Contest Starting October 16, 2009 :)

Time to Decorate! AWESOME :) This is what Aunt Arctic have written in this weeks Club Penguin Times:

On October 16 a special Halloween Igloo Decorating Contest will be held, celebrating the island’s spookiest time of the year.

The Better Igloos Catalog will be coming out with its latest chilling features, and the designers want to make sure this is the biggest contest ever.

“For this contest, we’re doing things a little differently,* explained one of the secret judges.

*This time penguins will ‘submit’ their igloos for judging once they’re ready. There will be a special button added to igloos October 16 which, when pressed, will let us know to come look at it.”

Penguins are asked not to change their igloos once they’ve pressed the submit button, so the judges have time to comes see them. The judges will also still be anonymous.

Stay tuned to next week’s issue of Club Penguin Time for more details. Get ready to decorate for the fun!

…COOL! I LOVE to Decorate my Igloo :) I have so Many ideas right now so it will be hard to only Decorate ONE Igloo…LOL…I will do my best but it will not be so Spooky :) The “My Igloo is Decorated come and Look Button” is a GREAT Idea THANKS Club Penguin :)

Volcano Mystery Continues Sensei Answer More Questions :)

Aunt Arctic has interviewed Sensei again about The Volcano This is her article from our Penguin Newspaper:

Though some time has passed since the Volcano was awakened, penguins are still wondering what it may mean for the island’s future. Rumors are buzzing, and everyone is looking to Sensei for answers. “Ahh, the Volcano. Its power is so great it affects us all.

It unleashes heat and smoke from the ground… and may unleash fire from the sky.” We asked the Sensei to reveal more information, but he only smiled for a moment and said, “Perhaps someone else, Can give you answers. Maybe A science master…”

…Great idea Aunt Arctic :) It is only ONE Penguin to ask…I will go and see Uncle Gary right now :) If anyone knows the answers it will be him :)

Get Ready For Club Penguin’s 4th Anniversary Party! Only On October 24 :)

On October 24, for one day only a special celebration is coming to the island – the Anniversary Party!

This year will be the 4th anniversary of Club Penguin’s launch, and it promises to be a wonderful celebration.

*In case this is your first Anniversary Party,” one penguin commented, “Let me fill you in. There’s gonna be cake, there’s gonna be a brand new year book in the Book Room, and party hats. The party hats are super cool too – every year has its own unique colors!”

“Me and my friends like to try and guess what the colors will be…” he added.

The Anniversary Party will be at the Coffee Shop one day only, October 24! Don’t miss this special yearly event!

Grandpa is Hurt!

On Monday I spoke to Grandpa on the phone and then me and Littletias walked over to Grandpas house. Usually when we come Grandpa open the door and hugs us but nobody opened so we used our own key. We called for Grandpa but he didn't answer! Then I looked out and I saw that Grandpa was laying in the Grass under the apple tree. We both run out to Grandpa and when he didn't answer us I started to cry because I thought he was dead! He was bleeding from the head and he was so white and didn't move or answer us! Littletias checked that Grandpa was breathing and he was but he didn't answer us! I used my Sweater to press on Grandpas head to stop the bleeding and Littletias called First the Ambulance and then our Parents. They both came at the same time and the Ambulance took Grandpa to the Hospital and we followed in our car. I was so afraid that Grandpa was going to die so I couldn't stop crying Littletias cried too.

At the Hospital we were not allowed to be with Grandpa first the Doctors were so busy to help him but after some hours a Nice Doctor came and told us that Grandpa will be fine. He has a concussion but he was not unconscious anymore and we could go in and talk to him.

Grandpa looked so small in the hospital bed he had a big band aid on his forehead and some bruises in his face but he smiled and hugged us. Then he told us that he remembered he went out to pick down some apples and he guessed that he had slipped with his foot when he was on the ladder.
Dad said that the ladder had hit Grandpa in the head when it fell over him he knows that because it was blood on the ladder.

I cried a lot because I felt happy that Grandpa would be okay and in the same time I felt guilty that Grandpa was hurt because he felled when he picked apples to give to me and Littletias. Mum told me that it was an accident and nobodies fault. And so did Grandpa, Dad and Littletias.

Grandpa needed to rest so we were told by a nurse to go but I really really didn't want to leave Grandpa alone in the Hospital. I found his Doctor and asked if I could stay and first he said no but Mum spoke to him and Grandpa said that he wanted us to stay then the Doctor said it was okay as long we didn't disturb Grandpa. So Dad and Littletias went home and me and Mum stayed in the hospital with Grandpa. A very kind Nurse came with a mattress, pillows and Blanket so me and Mum could sleep on the floor in Grandpas room. Grandpa was better the next day but the Doctor wanted him to stay one more Night for observations so me and Mum stayed too.

Now Grandpa is back home with us so we can take care of him and he will stay here until he is totally fine :)

I think squidzoid. It has always looked cool when penguins waddle around pretending to be a real squidzoid making monster noises like rarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! and jump out from behind a bush.
Thanks, Plumpy55647. And if you don't already have it, starting tomorrow you'll be able to grab the Squidzoid costume at the Stage. Maybe we'll see an island of squids for a day...?

Next Friday, October 16, there will be some new furniture coming out in Better Igloos - just in time to start decorating for the Halloween igloo contest! So this week, we'd love to hear if you've got any Halloween decorating tips.

Happy77 questions to a Monster Artist

Greeting Penguins!

The team's been loving all the guesses you've had about Billybob's Halloween Party sneak peek! And we've already seen some sweet monster costumes around as everyone starts to get ready for the Halloween Party that'll hit at the end of the month!

Speaking of monsters, I got word that Squidzoid vs. Shadow Guy & Gamma Gal is happening at the end of the week at the Stage and there's a NEW MONSTER on the set! Nobody would tell me the whole deal, but I managed to get an interview with someone who helped make this new monster. Here's the scoop:

Q: So is it true? Will there be a monster who helps Squidzoid try to destroy the city at the Stage?
A: It's true. He just might be our biggest monster ever! I'm sure Squidzoid can control him though. 80% sure.

Q: Why did you decide Squidzoid needed help?
A: Well I don't want to say he needed the help, but the last few monsters didn't exactly do much to help out. It seems only fair that Squidzoid has a partner since there's a Shadow Guy and a Gamma Gal.

Q: You mean we'll be able to do MORE than just look at this monster?
A: Um...Oh would you look at that. I'm late for my pumpkin-carving lesson!

Hmmm....Do you think that the squid actually needs the help? I wonder what's gonna happen? I guess we'll find out on Friday.
