Today it’s the day Bloggers from ALL over the world comes TOGETHER and write about a specific Topic and this year we all will be Blogging about FOOD :)
…I LOVE to help my parents and my Grandpa in the Garden :) We have a little Greenhouse there we mostly growing tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and herbs :) Grandpa’s Greenhouse is bigger and he always growing different kinds of vegetables and fruits :) In his Greenhouse he has a Wine plant that gives Green Grapes and a small Peach-Tree and a tiny Lemon Tree that is sprout from a seed I planted some years ago :) In the summer we grow vegetables in the Gardens too :) I think food that is homegrown tastes better than anything from the store :)
…And I think it is interesting how important it is that we eat food loaded with nutrients if we want to be smart and do well in School :) Here is a Recipe for a Soup I LOVE to eat on a Chilly day :)
Saraapril’s Potato, Onion and Leek Soup :)
(Ask a grownup for help if you not are allowed to use the Stove yet)
- Potatoes sliced or diced (prepare as many you want to eat)
- 1 Yellow Onion sliced or diced
- Leeks as much you like sliced
- 1 Vegetable Bullion Cube
- Water (depends on how much soup you want to make if needed add an extra Bullion Cube)
- 1 – 2 tablespoons Olive oil
- Herbs (dried or fresh) I sometimes use a dried Salad Herbs Blend that includes Parsley, Red Onion, Shallots, Chives, Garlic and Dill
How to make the Soup:
Add Bullion Cube in water and start boil potatoes, When the Potatoes are half boiled add Yellow Onion and boil until Potatoes are soft :) Shut off Stove and add Olive Oil, Leeks and Herbs…DONE :) I like to eat this Soup with a slice of Wholemeal Bread with Cotton Cheese and Tomatoes or Cucumbers on :) Time to EAT! And Now I will invite ALL my Neighbors for dinner! Well…This recipe doesn't give you THAT much soup but I will ask Littletias if he wants a bowl he is ALWAYS HUNGRY!!! LOL :)
