O Fortuna!

Did you just like me recognize the Dramatic Music in the Disney Club Penguin Medieval Party 2012 Video Ad? I know I have heard that music before but as I couldn't remember where I asked for help and Thanks to Amie at Club Penguin Support I now know that this Music is named O Fortuna :) I have done some research and O Fortuna is a medieval Latin Goliardic poem written early in the thirteenth century, part of the collection known as the Carmina Burana. It’s a complaint about fate and Fortuna, a goddess in Roman mythology and personification of luck. O Fortuna was set to music in 1936 – 36 by the German composer Carl Orff as a part of his cantata Carmina Burana where it is used as the opening and closing number. Orff's setting of the poem has become immensely popular and has been performed by countless classical music ensembles and popular artists. It can be heard in numerous movies and television commercials and has become a staple in popular culture, setting the mood for dramatic or cataclysmic situations. Here you can read more about O Fortuna :)
