Innocent is teaming up with Disney for the first time in a new marketing campaign across its entire children's range, as it moves to better engage children with its products and make them "excited" about fruit. Marketing

Club Penguin and innocent join for healthy eating promotion!
Club Penguin and innocent join for healthy eating promotion innocent smoothies has joined with Disney’s Club Penguin to help persuade children to eat more fruit.
Launching on 8 August and set to run on-pack as well as being supported through online, TV and social media activity, the promotion provides exclusive items to collect on virtual world Club Penguin.
Every pack of innocent smoothies and fruit tubes for kids will hold a unique code which kids can use to unlock three fruit-themed items, with 24 to collect, including a strawberry costume for their penguin, an orange MP3 player and kiwi armchairs; with a pineapple igloo being received when all gifts are collected. (I think it looks like an Orange Hoodie not a MP3 Player)

Gurdeep Loyal, kids brand marketing manager at innocent, said: “Innocent for Kids has always focused on making healthy eating fun for kids. We’re excited about bringing consumers a new on-pack promotion and partnering with Club Penguin to bring this to life - through the fun fruit costumes, online party and smoothie game.”
Kids will also have the chance to win a trip to innocent’s Fruit Towers and have the chance to invent their own smoothies, as well as other prizes.
Bobi Carley, commercial director at Disneymedia+ UK & Ireland, added: "Reflecting the shared values of innocent and Club Penguin, we're looking forward to launching a creative, integrated campaign that will be fun for innocent and Club Penguin fans, while promoting healthy food choices and active lifestyles."

As part of the collaboration, character Captain Rockhopper will throw an ‘online fruit party’ from 22 August, which will provide the launch of a new in-world game inspired by innocent, in which players can mix their own smoothies. The Drum
Eating Fruit is good BUT another promoting Party and a whole GAME dedicated to a third party Brand Product!?! Can someone at Disney Club Penguin honor your promise to us and our Parents about Ad-Free Play!?! The WHOLE PARTY is an AD!

That sounds AWESOME.
ReplyDeleteBut is has made me realize that now CP will probably never have a non-advertising party ever again. :(
Eating fruits is good but......
ReplyDeleteDISNEY STOP DESTROYING CLUB PENGUIN!!
I can't seem to find where to buy Innocent smoothies in the US. Is this ANOTHER UK only thing?! Also, the fruit thing sounds cool. I would love to have a pineapple igloo!
ReplyDeleteI Love Fruit, A Pineapple Igloo Would Be Cool! I'm So Exited!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least it's not advertising for a Disney show instead...
ReplyDelete*SCREAMS INTO PILLOW* WORST CP SUMMER EVAR! It's kinda awesome Non-members can get furniture and igloos, but it BETTER not turn into Poptropica.com, where EVERY TIME you come into the game your forced to see an ad! You should advertise to eat fruit, but advertising a certain brand is NOT.
ReplyDeletefishandfries you can buy them in USA!
ReplyDeleteAnd the olny parties tht r no ads are the classic ones like the hoilday party!
Ice Cube 244
Good side and bad side
ReplyDeleteGood side -
I like the idea. The items sound cool. It seems fun and while I knew they'd eventually advertise to eat healthy, but not in this way. And by that I mean I didn't think they'd have these nice items.
Bad side -
I don't like how it's third party. I think it'd be fine if it wasn't third party because then that might make it a little more fun.
This sounds like this might be the worst party ever! I mean seriously, a party about fruit! No, no, NO! This just is not right! :(
ReplyDeleteWhen will the smothe thing comeout so we can get the fruit suits?
ReplyDeleteIt seems that CP has forgotten their "ad-free" policy. They may as well just strip the ad free thing off the whole website.
ReplyDeleteGramma looked it up, they are official sponsors for the Olympic games in London.
ReplyDeleteNothing we get here, even online.
i dont think clubpenguin gets it. they've seen and heard that we don't like the ad partys, but won't stop. i have a feeling there's gonna be alot less penguins in cp at the end of this year. what's next, an adventure party advertising the olympics? i dont have a grudge against disney or innocent or any other big companys. honestly, i think innocent is doing good and disney is providing fun.but NOT in cp. it's not that we want the companys gone, its that they dont belong in cp. its just like if disney made a tv show all about cp. disney fans wouldn't like it. the avengers is a good movie for older people, like teens and adults. there are 7 year olds on cp. 7 year olds! and disney was advertising avengers on cp where lil kids are who shouldnt watch the movie. shake it up isnt a bad show. but, it shouldnt be on cp. cp makes 2 partys, one just for disney and one completely changed into an ad. cp does all this when it really isnt neccesary because disney only shows a couple ads for cp. i dont think too many people would mind if cp just had a very small ad at the bottom of the screen about disney. and yet, they make a whole party full of explosions and ads! its like they dont even hear us and yet they do! in fact, the only reason im still on cp is because i want to see if cp will ever be ad free. but now it seems its getting worse! i dont hate disney or cp. i just dont think that partnering with disney is a good idea for cp. lets hope they change something in the future.
ReplyDeletevictoriaa122, i totally agree. poptropica always has ads and doesnt really listen. i really hope cp doesnt turn into ad city! if they keep up the ad partys, then by the time 2012 is over, no one will be playing.
ReplyDeleteThis is terrible. Very, very terrible. I mean, really, a party about fruit? Not only a party about fruit (which is bad on it's own two feet), but an ADVERTISED party about fruit? I'm very saddened and will CERTAINLY cancel my membership for the month of August. Please, please don't let them do this. Write (or have your parents write) a letter to Club Penguin expressing distaste for ads. I was fine when they raised membership prices, I know it costs money to set this up, but I am extreme disgusted to see ads. Lets not go down silently :).
ReplyDeleteTHIS IS ONLY AT UK AGAIN!!!
ReplyDeleteThis summer shall be called "CP Summer Advertising Celebration 2012!"
ReplyDeleteI forgot to add in my last comment - You can send an email to club penguin under "Contact" on Club Penguins website (You can click Site Map to find it as well).
ReplyDeleteThey always reply within two days, I'm still waiting for my reply (I just sent it an hour ago).
You don't have to be violent or angry, just tell them that you are saddened by their recent decisions regarding advertisements in parties.
(P.S. I love your blog, Saraapril)
What do you mean only at UK again? You guys get way more than us! All we have is a magazine and a sticker album. That's nothing compared to what you get over in America! Toys, books, membership cards and so much more. Think about what you have next time your about to complain about what we get
ReplyDeleteCool, to be honest I want the smoothie more...
