Legend of the Dark Dragon!

Beware! For it is said the dragon of darkness could rise again...

Written by Gary — On May 17, the Medieval event will begin. But this is not a time for celebration. It is a time of great danger, and legendary heroics. Gather round, for I have a tale thou must hear!

Long ago, there were five kingdoms that lived in harmony. Until one day, a terrible dragon arose from darkness, cursed the lands, and declared himself king. Before all was lost, a band of heroes united. With the legendary Thunder Blade, they struck down the dragon, banished him from the land, and restored peace. But the heroes gave a warning for all to hear: “Be on guard! For should this scornful dragon return... The Thunder Blade's power is all but spent.” “You must forge a new weapon, or else our kingdoms are defenceless. Heed our warning friends, for darkness can rise again...”

Thou best not wait-eth, for legendary deals await thee!

Medieval merriment is taking the island by storm, as the Gift Shop released its newest (oldest?) Penguin Style Catalog. The catalog is filled to the brim with wizard robes, royal gowns, and epic armor. “Hark!” said a recently knighted penguin, I am a warrior for good, and I shall protect these lands from the forces of darkness!” “That will be 1600 coins, please,” replied the shop keep. The festive fashions are said to be extremely realistic—likely because they were designed by Gary the Gadget Guy. The word in the Gift Shop is that they’re so well made, they could probably withstand a real dragon-attack. “Gary insists everyone ‘suit up’ and be ready by May 17,” the knight added. “He keeps telling everyone to prepare. I guess he’s really really excited for the party.”

Ask Aunt Arctic :)

PREE PAIR
Dear Aunt Arctic,
The Medieval party is coming up fast—how can I get ready?–Pree Pair
Dear Pree Pair,
Hark! This be a great-eth question! I shall try my best to answer-eth it! Okay, so my medieval-talk needs a little practice. But rehearsing your ‘thys’ and ‘thous’ is just one way to prepare for Club Penguin’s annual Medieval party. During this celebration, the island takes a turn for the fantastic. There are royal courts to attend, and dragon-caves to explore. There are also quests, puzzles, and lots of treasure to find. So a good way to prepare would be to play games that challenge your mind. I recommend challenging a friend to a few games of Mancala, or Find Four. This is also a good way to earn some extra coins, which will come in handy. There are lots of wonderful costumes available only during the event. And if you have some extra time, maybe turn your own igloo into a medieval kingdom. After all, it couldn’t hurt-eth!

There are many legends of dragons throughout Club Penguin history.

DRE GONE
Dear Aunt Arctic,
Are there dragons living in Club Penguin somewhere?–Dre Gone
Dear Dre Gone,
I went straight to the expert for your question—Gary the Gadget Guy. Not only does he have a lot more knowledge on mythical creatures, he’s definitely a fan of medieval legends. “Oh my, yes!” he said right away. Dragon sightings have been reported around Club Penguin for many years, and not just during the Medieval event.” “Take a look at this picture. This is an old background from many years ago, and depicts a long serpent swimming in the water. Very dragon-like, yes?” “And here—these pictures show some of the dragons that pop up during the Medieval event. There are red ones, green ones, purple ones, you name it.” “Oh, and then there’s this hydra head. But I built that. So it’s not real.” “So keep an eye out. There are even myths of much larger dragons on the island. But those would be much meaner, and would be bad news for the island...”

Club Penguin Activities Detail!

On the Club Penguin FUN Activities a NEW Outdoor Activity called Veggie Garden is added :)

…Sadly the Fire vs. Water Battle and Ninja Nowhere FUN Activities are removed! And that is NOT FUN!!!

Club Penguin Details :)

Veggie Garden Outdoor Activity :)

Veggie Garden :)

You Will Need
Veggie plants or seeds
Gravel or small rocks
Soil
Planting pots
A watering can

Instructions:
*Ask an adult for help

  1. Choose which vegetables are easy to grow where you live. Tip: try beans, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots, beets or onions.
  2. Choose pots that will best fit your veggies. Pots that are at least 10 inches deep work best.
  3. Place your plant pots somewhere that gets lots of sun.
  4. Fill the bottom of your plant pots with gravel, or small rocks. This helps water drain.
  5. Fill your pots with soil. Tip: you could add compost or fertilizer here.
  6. Make sure you leave enough room between the plants so they have plenty of room to grow.
  7. Once they’re in the right places, take them out of their pots and dig holes in the soil and place them in.
  8. If you’re using seeds, make sure there’s at least a finger distance between each seed. (Some plants like tomatoes will need more room, so follow the instructions on the seed packet).
  9. Gently water the soil with your watering can.
  10. Now you’re ready to watch your garden grow. But remember: plants are a bit like pet Puffles: they need lots of care and attention!

Thanks for this FUN Activity Post Club Penguin :) I LOVE growing things and did you know that if you put an onion you use for cooking in a glass so just the chopped off root ends just touch the water. Then place it inside on a windowsill so it get lots of light it will soon grow roots again and start to sprout green long onion leafs :) I often do that during the winter when nothing can grow outside :) Right now I have 2 yellow onions and 1 red onion growing in my room :) I have them there for decoration but Mum grows garlic like that in our kitchen and use the green sprouts in salad :)

You can PRINT out this Outdoor Activity :)
