Recipes - Pumpkin Seed Brittle

Club Penguin Recipes: Pumpkin Seed Brittle

*Ask an adult for help

Halloween is almost here! Create a tasty, snack while you carve pumpkins.

You Will Need

Cookie sheet
Saucepan
Stirring spoon
Non-stick spray
Air-tight container

Ingredients

1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/2 cup organic brown sugar
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup toasted pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup peanuts

Instructions

Coat the cookie sheet with a non-stick spray.
Melt butter in saucepan, then stir in honey and brown sugar.
Bring mixture to a fast boil.
Turn down the temperature and continue to boil for 10-15 minutes.
Pour in roasted pumpkin seeds and peanuts, and stir.
Carefully pour the mixture onto the cookie sheet.
Wait until the brittle has cooled, then break into pieces.
Store brittle in an air-tight container.

Recipes - Candied Apples :)

Club Penguin Recipes: Candied Apples

*Ask an adult for help

You Will Need

4 ice-pop stick
1/4 teaspoon red food coloring
Medium saucepan
Wooden spoon
Wax paper

Ingredients

4 apples
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup corn syrup or golden syrup

Instructions

Wash the apples, remove the stem and insert the popsicle stick where the stem used to be.
Put the sugar, water, and syrup into the saucepan and stir on medium heat until mixture boils (about 8-10 minutes). Boil for 15 minutes.
Remove the pan from the stove and add the food coloring.
Dip each apple into the hot syrup mixture, keeping fingers a safe distance away.
After you dip each apple, set it on a wax sheet of paper.
Let the apples cool for about an hour, then dig in!

Spike Hike Reporting For Duty!

Message from Spike Hike:

Hey Penguins!
Spike Hike here. My real name is Chris Heatherly, and as you may have heard last week, I'm stepping into Lane's big shoes. You probably don't know me, but I've been working and playing on Club Penguin for a long time! (Picture BUG!)

I first met the Club Penguin Team in 2007 when I worked for Disney Toys. When I first came to Penguin, I fell in love with what the team was doing. Together we worked on the first Penguin toy line. Billybob and I got to launch the toys in the biggest penguin party ever in New York City! We had Club Penguin projected onto the Jumbotron so that kids from around the world could join the party.
As a dad, I've been playing Club Penguin with my three kids for years. My twins even had a Club Penguin birthday party and I dressed up as Herbert. Herbert had stolen the puffles and the kids had to throw "snowballs" at him and get him to drop the sack of puffles. The kids tackled me to the ground and pelted me with snowballs!

Lane and I became really good friends and talked a lot about his vision for Club Penguin. When he asked me to join Club Penguin it was a dream come true! For the last year and a half, I've been able to work on parties, penguin shorts and music videos. As a long time player and as a dad, Club Penguin is very special to me.
As Billybob said in his farewell post, one thing about Club Penguin will never change – it has always been about you guys and always will be.
