Power Source Under Construction! Dino Puffle Meets Alien Puffle!

Power Source Under Construction!

Duct tape brings everything together. By Gary the Gadget Guy — Eureka! I can't say it enough. Eureka! Eureka! Eureka! Creating an alternative power supply is nearly complete! Initial tests are positive!

This couldn't have been possible without you time travelers. Thanks to your efforts, we have more than enough power fragments. It's been difficult harnessing the energy but I'm designing an adhesive power matrix to help. By that, I mean I'm taping all the fragments together. The power source should be ready for January 30. At that point, our extraterrestrial puffle friends can depart. I'll certainly be sad to see them go. I've discovered so much by working on their spaceship. Perhaps they could send me some homework!

Dino Puffle Meets Alien Puffle!

Are dinosaurs... ancient aliens!? By PH — Can you believe it, mate? Past and future puffles have met! It's been wild seeing dino puffles and alien puffles mingling. They have more in common than you'd think. Y'see, a curious dino puffle might explore a jungle. Whereas a curious alien puffle would explore space. But they'd be doing the same action, right? Seems dinos and aliens are very similar! That got me thinking... could dinosaurs be ANCIENT ALIENS!? Sounds crazy, but maybe that's what happened to the dinosaurs. They could have evolved and built spaceships! Sure, it's a dingbat idea. But it could be a dingbat idea that's true!

Island Rumors :)

POWER FRAGMENTS LINKED TO MYSTERIOUS METEOR? By Rumor Reporter – Does something seem strange about power fragments? It's said they hold incredible power. But where did they come from? How do they work? What can they do? Someone must know. Gary? Herbert? The EPF? No one's talking. My theory? Fragments from the meteor that struck Club Penguin years ago. The result of that? Temporarily turned penguins into superheroes. That's a dangerous power. We need answers.

How do you release a puffle into the wild? – Littlepuff13
So one of your puffles is ready to explore, Littlepuff13? Wild puffles have already lived in nature, so they're happy to stay home. But other puffles can be released! Go to your igloo, click on your puffle, then the comb icon, and then your puffle's pet papers. Pressing the red X will let your puffle go. But remember, a puffle released into nature will NOT return. They'll be away exploring!

Fan Art by Robotito :)

By Dot the Design Gal — This is such a fun style, Robotito! The star and octopus patterns are bold choices! Did you take part in the 2014 Fashion Party? If so, I bet you did awesome. Anyone who can work cat ears like that knows what they're doing! Style groove.

Secrets Classified Puffle Round-Up Tips :)

By PH - G'day puffle rustlers! Puffle Roundup is a fun little game that you can get to from the Puffle Park. There's always puffles that need some help getting back in their pens. To get the fastest time, circle your cursor around the stray puffles—this'll gather them up in a big herd. Now, move the herd above the pen, and slowly push the whole group inside. Bonza! You've earned some coins and made a lot of puffles very happy! Good on ya mate!

Dig the Dig Sites! Dino Puffle Primer :)

Dig the Dig Sites!

It's a powerful experience. By Gary — Greetings time travelers! Be sure to bring some spare clothes on your upcoming adventure. We'll be digging up power fragments and this is going to be dirty work!

I've set up dig sites around prehistoric Club Penguin. These are locations where I expect power fragments to reside. I suggest wielding your shovel with care while excavating. The fragments are very potent and may be slightly combustible.  Once recovered, I'll ensure all samples are brought to the UFO for safe adhesive merging. Oh, and please avoid picking snowball fights with dinosaurs. Take my calculated advice: they will win.

Dino Puffle Primer :)

Oldies but goodies. By PH — Dino puffles might have existed millions of years before me, but I still know a thing or two about em. If you're going back in time, then I reckon you'll need some dino puffle tips!First things first, these puffles are real beauts! But they can be a handful cause, well, they're dinosaurs. If you'd like to meet one that's a bit relaxed, I'd suggest a yellow stegosaurus. These are friendly critters and they've got a big lick for every face they meet. Y'wanna see something a bit more ferocious? Then go with a black t-rex. These are real tough customers. Myself? I'm thinking about getting a red triceratops. These guys are curious and love to adventure, just like me!

What is your favorite book in the CP Times Office? – Julianna700
Oh, I'm so excited to get a book question!I love them all so much but if I had to choose, I'd say Penguin Tales Volume 3. The story "Turn Blue and Sink the Iceberg" is one I always go back to. After all, it's about one of Club Penguin's biggest mysteries! I wonder where the author is now, and if they're still thinking about the Iceberg.

Secrets Classified Digging for Power Fragments :)

By Gary - It's stupendous to see so many penguins excavating power shards! I realize this can be a difficult task. There's only so much digging that can be done before a shovel breaks. You'll want to maximize your gains before this happens. I have calculated that digging up every second column or row will give you a better chance of finding a power fragment. You'll find that you have enough power sources for the alien UFO in no time. Happy excavating!

Alternate Power Discovered! Puffles Love the Backyard :)

Alternate Power Discovered!

Watch out, Gary’s found something energetic! By Gary — Eureka! I have discovered a source of incredible power to repair the UFO! There’s, er, just one minor discrepancy. We’ll have to travel back in time to get it.

Since Herbert stole the UFO’s power source, I’ve been attempting to create a new one. In my testing I made a high-powered hot sauce. Unfortunately, it’s not quite strong enough to jump-start a UFO. Rookie says it’s great on pizza though! I then came to a startling conclusion. It seems the only power source capable of running the UFO would have existed millions of years ago! I’ve hypothesized that ancient meteorites crashing into our planet created a thing called Power Fragments. I’m 89.41% certain that they’ll be compatible with the UFO’s energy intake valve! I’ll get the Time Trekker 3000 ready to go! Just remember to hang onto your spectacles. Last time I lost mine somewhere between the Jurassic age and the 17th century!

Puffles Love the Backyard :)

Wide open spaces for your puffles. By PH — Has your igloo been feeling a wee bit cramped? No worries! Puffles love roaming the Backyard. The wide open space is so relaxing for them. Best part is, you can have all of your adorable critters out there! They’ll have everything they need so they won’t be hungry or bored. You’ll know they’re happy when they hop alongside smiling. And if you got a rainbow puffle, they’ll fart sparkles in appreciation. Ya got any other puffle questions? Be sure to write into the paper if ya do!

Is your pink hat lucky? – Monkeyhorse2
How nice of you to notice my hat, Monkeyhorse2! It’s been with me through good and bad. I’m still very happy, so maybe it really is a lucky hat! I actually wear it because I like the familiarity. It’s been with me ever since I joined Club Penguin. Sometimes Dot designs new hats for me, but they don’t have the scent of coffee and printer ink that I enjoy. I’ve seen many of you wearing tinfoil hats. Perhaps that’s the new style?

Fan Art by Lucky 7 6 02 :)

Rookie is “lucky” to get this. By Rookie — Niiiiiiiiiice work, Lucky 7 6 02! I’m always blown away when people draw me. Art is REALLY hard, but you did an awesome job. Did you know I hang all these drawings on my fridge? I had to buy an extra one just to make room. It’s worked out great, cause now I’ve got space for my triple-decker pastrami sandwiches!

Secrets Classified The Forgotten Future!

By GaryUsing the Time Trekker 3000’s technology, many penguins had visited the year 4014. This was a frightening time where The Ultimate Protobot 10,000 threatened to destroy the future Club Penguin! But we defeated Protobot and permanently changed the future. This was a rare moment when it was important to break the existing timeline. We should prevent damaging the timeline further in our new travels. No stepping on butterflies!

Happy New Year!

Another wild year for Club Penguin! By Aunt Arctic — As 2015 comes to an end, I just want to say: Wow! It's been so much fun reporting on Club Penguin the past year. I've gathered some friends to tell us their favorite moment!

Rockhopper: Me best moment be right now, celebratin' Coins for Change with all o' ya!
Dot: We came up with some amazing new styles at the Fashion Fest! Those memories are with me forever.

Sensei: Each day was a giftas the ninjas who I trained brought me great wisdom And my favorite moment was the amazing 10th Anniversary Party! Because I got to celebrate with all of you!

Rockhopper’s Lost Memories!

A trip down memory lane. By Rockhopper — Gather round, mateys! The New Year approaching gives me a case of pirate nostalgia. It's been a lively 2015. I'd even lost me mind! (Thanks fer helping me find it, by the way). After that I departed for another grand adventure! I'd set off for a voyage to the unknown! A voyage BEYOND THE HORIZON! The Migrator be slicin' into waves, like a hot cutlass through stinky cheese. But the oceans be angry that day and the rains be a'comin'. Was a real fight, as the sea lay punches on me ship. The Migrator be battered, but I continued on. And suddenly, LAND HO! Through me telescope, I see a beauty of an island! But from nowhere, DISASTER! A great storm emerge and a whirlpool block me way! With the Migrator barely in one piece, there be only one choice. Escape! I set sails for safety and arrived drenched in the sea and covered in starfish. But mark me words: I be reachin' that beauty of an island someday, or me name ain't CAPTAIN ROCKHOPPER!

What is the unplugged arcade game in the Lounge? – Jackgeo8
Ah, that's my ambitious endeavour into computer programming! We often bring the arcade unit out when the Fair comes to the island. It allows penguins to jump into the 8-bit world! The graphics and audio are quite rudimentary, but have a certain charm. It's only used for special occasions. Otherwise the Modular VR Matrix risks overheating. If this were to occur, I fear penguins would be stuck in the 8-bit world! Gadzooks!

There are four big programs we’re going to support:

GARY DIGGING INTO THE PAST
By Rumor Reporter – Gary the Gadget Guy has been working hard on the UFO problem. But now he’s suddenly disappeared into the past. How was the Iceberg formed? – Sam8188
That’s quite an inquiry, Sam! Fortunately my ancestor Garugg the Ugg Ugg has told me the story. There was once a great ice age. During this time, a huge fish called a Megalodon was frozen into the ice. As the Megalodon shook to free itself, the ice broke away, creating an ice berg. It drifted for thousands of years before stopping at Club Penguin island. But recently the Megalodon broke free. I was terrified! Fortunately he’s quite friendly. In fact, he just wanted someone to play fetch with!

Galactic visitors settle in :)

Alien puffles friendly to all. By Aunt Arctic— They fit right in here! You’d have no idea that the alien puffles come from a far away world. It’s wonderful how friendly they are. They were so excited to meet new friends that they’d been beaming penguins (and crabs) aboard their UFO!

The EPF did a fantastic job of sorting out that confusion and finding Klutzy. Herbert stole the UFO power source! Imagine the havoc and chaos that he could cause...Well, let’s focus on the positives. Thanks to a quick-thinking EPF agent, the alien puffles have landed safely. It seems they’ll be here until Gary can find a replacement power source. This is a great opportunity to show our alien friends a Club Penguin tradition: Coins for Change! They’re such caring puffles, they’ll have a blast helping others around the world!

Or a Halloween beach party with bikers that drive out of a spaceship and take over the frost throne of a mermaid queen who returns with a pack of magical pirates that banish the bikers to a DJ booth surrounded by confetti blasters, jack-o-lanterns, and granite countertops! Who is that big guy sitting in the Puffle Wild? – Yellow6012
It sounds like you’ve met the sasquatch! You’ll see him in the Puffle Wilds when he’s visiting his puffle family for a meal. He has a big appetite! He grew up with puffles so he used to only eat puffle berries. This left him very hungry. Not long ago some friendly Puffle Guides taught him to fish. Now he has all the food he needs! There’s a saying that came from that: Give a sasquatch a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Teach a sasquatch to fish and you’ll find fur in your sweater for the next week.
