Club Penguin Recipes: Fish Cakes :)

Here’s a Club Penguin recipe on how to make Fish Cakes :)

*Ask an adult for help

You'll Need:

  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons & cups
  • Frying pan
  • Cooking spray

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (170g) Tuna
  • ½ cup whole wheat bread crumbs
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 cup low-fat cheddar cheese
  • 1 carrot - shredded
  • ½ cup chopped green onion
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl
  2. Cover and refrigerate for 10 mins
  3. Lightly spray the frying pan with oil
  4. Heat on Med-High
  5. Make approx. 1/4 cup patties with your tuna cake mix
  6. Cook for 3 minutes per side
  7. Enjoy!

Club Penguin Recipes: Puffle Pancakes :)

Here is a Club Penguin recipes on how to make a Puffle Pancakes :)

*Ask an adult for help

You Will Need

  • 2 Mixing bowls
  • Measuring spoons & cups
  • Frying pan
  • Cooking spray
  • Condiment containers

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil (or vegetable oil)
  • 1 ¼ cups all-purpose wholemeal flour
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/4 salt
  • Food coloring (To match your favorite puffle color!)

Gluten Free Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups rice flour
  • ¼ cup quinoa flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp xantham gum
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1 ¼ cup milk (why not try almond or soy milk)
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil (or vegetable oil)
  • ¼ tsp salt

Instructions

Pancake Batter

  1. Beat the eggs in a large bowl
  2. Add in the milk and oil, and mix well
  3. In another bowl, sift together all the dry ingredients
  4. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and slowly pour in the wet ingredients
  5. Mix well

Pancake Art

  1. Pour about 1/3 of the batter into one of your condiment containers
  2. To the batter left in the bowl, add 5 drops of food coloring and mix well
  3. Add the colored batter to the other condiment container
  4. Lightly span a frying pan with oil and heat at med-high
  5. Use the white batter to draw the eyes, mouth, and outline of your puffle onto the frying pan
  6. Use the colored batter to fill in the rest of the puffle
  7. Cook until the batter starts to bubble slightly, then flip over and let cook for another 1-2 minutes
  8. Serve and enjoy!

Family Day Fun Activities :)

This is a message by Polo Field: Guess what penguins! Today, some provinces across Canada will be celebrating Family Day! That means, many families will get the entire day off work and school to hang out and celebrate the importance of spending time together. Sounds pretty great right?! However, Family Day doesn't have to be just one day, it can be any day you want! That's why we've put together a list of activities you can share during your next family get together.

Club Penguin Recipes: Pizza Nog :)

Here is a Club Penguin recipes on how to make a Pizza Nog :)

Ask an adult for help *Not made from actual pizza

You'll Need:

  • Whisk
  • Saucepan
  • Bowl
  • Cheesecloth
  • Clear mug or glass

Ingredients: Eggnog

  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Red food coloring
  • 6 egg yolks
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • Nutmeg (optional)

Whipping Cream

  • 6 egg whites
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • ½ tsp nutmeg

"Pizza"

  • Grated white chocolate (Cheese)
  • Chocolate covered almonds (Olives)
  • Green licorice, sliced into small pieces (Green Peppers)
  • Red fruit leather, cut into circles (Pepperoni)

Vegan Eggnog Ingredients:

  • 8 cups almond or soy milk
  • 100g dairy-free instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp nutmeg

Instructions: Eggnog Instructions

  1. Separate the egg yolks from the egg whites
  2. Place the egg whites in the fridge for later
  3. In a saucepan, over medium heat, whisk the milk, red food coloring, and sugar together, until the sugar is completely dissolved
  4. Whisk the egg yolks
  5. Slowly add the milk/sugar to the whisked egg yolks and whisk until well combined
  6. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan, and cook over medium-low heat, stirring often, for about 20-25 minutes, until nice and thick
  7. Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth
  8. Let cool until room temperature, then cover and place in the fridge for 1-2 hours

Vegan Eggnog Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix 4 cups almond or soy milk with the vanilla pudding
  2. Stir until well combined
  3. Add in the remaining 4 cups of milk, vanilla, and nutmeg
  4. Refrigerate over night

Whipping Cream Instructions

  1. When your eggnog is almost ready to serve, whisk together the egg whites, heavy cream, and nutmeg until it makes stiff peaks

Putting it all together

  1. In a clear mug or glass, scoop approximately 1/8 of a cup whipping cream into the bottom
  2. Pour eggnog over top, leaving 1/2 inch at the top of the glass
  3. Sprinkle grated white chocolate over top
  4. Top with a few chocolate covered almonds, green licorice pieces, and red fruit leather

Remember to refrigerate any remaining eggnog and whipping cream and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Or store in the freezer.

*You can also make this recipe with pre-made eggnog and whipping cream.

  3. Attach sticks to each of them
  4. Glue your background onto your cardboard
  5. Use your imagination to create your own Night of the Living Sled show!

Pumpkin Soup and Cucumber Salad Recipes :)

This is a message by Lilac Ren: Hello! My name is Lilac Ren and I'm a writer here at Club Penguin! Some of you may have seen me around the island before, but did you know, part of my job is to create the recipes, arts & crafts, and outdoor activities? This month we created TWO new recipes that I'm super excited about. Curry Pumpkin Soup (pumpkin is my favorite vegetable) and Cucumber Salad.

Club Penguin Recipe: Curry Pumpkin Soup :)

Here is a recipe of Curry Pumpkin Soup :)

*Ask an adult for help

Makes 10 Servings

You'll Need:

  • Blender
  • Large saucepan
  • Small bowl
  • Large bowl
  • Vegetable peeler
  • Knife

Ingredients:

  • 1 small pumpkin (approx 4 pounds)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 2 tsp minced ginger
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 5 cups low-sodium vegetable stock
  • 2 tsp curry powder

Instructions:

  1. Cut the pumpkin in half
  2. Hollow out the pumpkin, keeping the pumpkin seeds in a separate bowl
  3. Once all the gooey insides are gone, remove the stem and cut the pumpkin halves into 4 pieces
  4. Peel the pumpkin skin and cut peeled pumpkin into 1-2 inch pieces, and set aside in a bowl
  5. Heat the oil in the saucepan over medium heat
  6. Add the onion, garlic, ginger, and cinnamon stick
  7. Cook for 5-8 minutes, until onion is soft
  8. Add the vegetable stock and curry powder, and stir
  9. Add the pumpkin pieces and cook until soft, about 10-20 minutes
  10. Remove the cinnamon stick
  11. In small batches, add the pumpkin, with the broth, into the blender and puree
    Note: Keep the lid of the blender vented, otherwise the pumpkin could explode
  12. Scoop into bowls, serve, and enjoy!

To toast the pumpkin seeds:

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC)
  2. Lightly coat pumpkin seeds with vegetable oil
  3. Lay them in a single layer on a baking sheet
  4. Cook for 10 minutes and then stir them
  5. Cook for another 8-10 minutes until crispy
  6. Let cool and enjoy!

Club Penguin Recipe: Cucumber Salad :)

Here is a recipe of Cucumber Salad :)

Serves 4-6

Prep time: 30 mins

You Will Need:

  • Knife
  • Large bowl
  • Small bowl
  • Measuring spoons

Dressing Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • ⅛  tsp sugar
  • ¼ - ½ inch ginger - finely grated
  • ½ tsp soy sauce
  • pinch of salt
  • ¼ tsp lemon juice
  • ½ mint leaf - finely chopped
  • ⅛ tsp crushed red pepper

Salad Ingredients:

  • 1 large cucumber
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • ½ cup chopped onion

Instructions:

  1. Combine all the dressing ingredients together in a bowl
  2. Let sit while you chop the vegetables
  3. Thinly slice cucumber and tomatoes into a large bowl
  4. Add in the chopped onions
  5. Spoon all the dressing over the vegetables and stir together
  6. Make sure the vegetables are coated in the dressing
  7. Serve and enjoy!

Black Currant Mini Cakes Recipes :)

Here’s a recipe of Black Currant Mini-Cakes :)

*Ask an adult for help

You Will Need:

  • 2 mixing bowls
  • Saucepan
  • Measuring cups and spoonss (Spelling BUG, it should be spoons)
  • Muffin tins
  • Muffin cups
  • Whisk
  • Fork

Cake Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups flour
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup black currants

Compote Ingredients:

  • 2 cups black currants
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF (180ºC)
  2. Place your muffin cups in the tin (or grease your muffin tin)
  3. In one bowl, beat the butter and sugar together
  4. Beat in the eggs and vanilla
  5. In the other bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder
  6. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet and stir well
  7. Using a spoon, add a tablespoon of batter into the muffin tins
  8. Add a layer of black currants
  9. Spoon another tablespoon of batter over the black currants
  10. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean
  11. While the cakes are baking, make the compote
  12. In a sauce pan, mix together the black currants, sugar, and lemon juice
  13. Heat on low for 5 minutes, mashing the black currants a little
  14. When you're ready to serve, spoon the compote over the cakes

Penguin Cup Kit Builder – Arts and Crafts :)

Here is an Art and Craft idea from Club Penguin: You can design and color your very own hang able Penguin Cup football kit with this print-at-home Kit Builder! Make holes and thread a string through to hang your kit design up on display :) Ask your parents to help with cutting out the kit. Be careful when using scissors.
