What is SoundStudio?
SoundStudio is Club Penguin's latest app! Just like the SoundStudio game on clubpenguin.com, the SoundStudio app lets you mix your own music in six different genres, using loops and one-shot sounds. Express yourself with 25 loops and 15 one-shots in each genre!
Members — and players who have purchased genres — can save and share up to 24 tracks on CP Radio.
How do I play SoundStudio?
Choose from these six sweet genres:
- Pop
- Dance
- Rock
- Dubstep
- Spooky
- Cadence
Kick off your track with a sick drumbeat, and keep adding loops until you’ve made a song.
You can use only one loop from each column, so choose wisely! If you choose a second loop from the same column it will turn off the first.
To turn off a loop that's playing, tap it a second time.
Now tap the one-shots to create cool effects like clapping flippers, crashing symbols, laughing Herbert, and more!
Members and players who have purchased genres can tap the Record button to record their tracks, for up to three minutes!
Those players who have recorded a song can share it with friends on CP Radio.
Log into the same account at clubpenguin.com and access saved tracks to play at the Dance Club.
How do I mute the sound in the SoundStudio app?
To turn off the sound in the SoundStudio app, tap the Gear icon on the main screen:
Then tap Mute All Sounds to turn off the sound:
What do I do if my purchases aren’t showing up in the SoundStudio app?
If your child's in-app purchases are not showing up in SoundStudio, please try restoring your purchases.
Follow the directions below:
1. Launch the SoundStudio app.
2. Tap the Gear icon on the main screen.
3. Under Restore Purchases, select Restore.
Can I take my tracks from the SoundStudio app back to clubpenguin.com?
Yes! Members can log into their penguin account in the SoundStudio app, then save tracks.
Members can log into clubpenguin.com with the same account and play the tracks in their igloo or at the Dance Club!
SoundStudio tracks are not currently available to play in the Club Penguin app.
What is CP Radio?
CP Radio is a feature in the SoundStudio app.
Listen to songs from Everyone, Friends, or New beats!
Tap CP Radio from the main menu to hear the latest tracks created by the community in the SoundStudio app.
Members — and players who have purchased genres — can save and share their tracks on CP Radio.
You’ll need a WiFi or data connection to listen to tracks on CP Radio.
Where can I find my saved tracks in the SoundStudio app?
Follow the directions below to access your saved tracks:
1. Tap the outline of a penguin to log into your account
2. Select Saved Tracks
3. Choose a song!
What happens if I play as a guest?
Play SoundStudio as a guest and you can mix tracks and listen to CP Radio. You won't be able to share music on CP Radio.

Log into SoundStudio as a member and get unlimited access to all genres, including the ability to save and share up to 24 tracks of any genre!
Can I play SoundStudio if I don't have a membership?
It's free to download SoundStudio from the iTunes and Google Play stores.
Everyone can mix tracks in six awesome musical genres.
Members can record and save up to 24 tracks, and share them with everyone on CP Radio!

Can I listen to CP Radio on clubpenguin.com?
CP Radio is available in the SoundStudio app. Members — and players who have purchased genres — can save and share their full-length tracks over CP Radio with other penguins who are using the SoundStudio app.
CP Radio isn't available on clubpenguin.com, but you can mix music in the SoundStudio game at the Dance Club! Members can save and record their tracks to share with everyone.
Which devices can I play the SoundStudio app on?
For iOS, you'll need at least an iPhone 4 or iPad 2 with iOS 6.0 to play install and play SoundStudio.
For Android, you'll need at least Nexus 7 if you're using a tablet, and a Galaxy S3 if you're on a phone. The minimum operating system is Jelly Bean 4.2.
How do I purchase a membership in SoundStudio for iOS?
You can purchase a Club Penguin membership for your child through the home screen of SoundStudio:
1. Tap About Membership in the upper right-hand corner
2. Enter the numbers
3. If the Club Penguin App is installed on your device, you will be taken directly to the app where you can purchase a membership.
4. Select a penguin, then tap About Membership in the upper right-hand corner.
5. Select a membership package. Please note that memberships are recurring until canceled.
6. Enter the numbers.
7. Confirm that you've chosen the correct penguin account.
8. Follow the directions to complete your purchase!
Apple allows one recurring subscription payment per iTunes ID. This membership renews based on the subscription plan selected. Additional membership purchases are non-recurring.
If you haven't installed the Club Penguin App on your device, you will be taken to a page that looks like this:
1. Tap About Membership
2. Install the Club Penguin App from the App Store
3. Follow the directions above to complete a membership purchase
How do I purchase a membership for SoundStudio for Android?
You can purchase a Club Penguin membership for your child through the home screen of SoundStudio:
1. Tap About Membership in the upper right-hand corner
2. Enter the numbers
3. If the Club Penguin App is installed on your device, you will be taken directly to the app where you can purchase a membership.
4. Select a penguin, then tap About Membership in the upper right-hand corner.
5. Select a membership package. Please note that memberships are recurring until canceled. Choose between a recurring monthly membership or a recurring 12 month membership. You can purchase up to four different subscriptions on one Google Account.
6. Enter the numbers.
7. Confirm that you've chosen the correct penguin account.
8. Follow the directions to complete your purchase!
If you haven't installed the Club Penguin App on your device, you will be taken to a page that looks like this:

How do I make an in-app purchase in SoundStudio?
To make an in-app purchase in SoundStudio:
1. Launch the app and tap Store
2. Enter your birthdate
3. Select a genre, or tap Buy Now to purchase a Club Penguin membership for iOS or Android
4. Follow the directions based on your OS to complete the purchase
