Lisa a Club Penguin Moderator :)

Inside info about Club Penguin: Introducing…Lisa! Lisa leads a team of moderators who work to keep Club Penguin safe and fun. They login and play Club Penguin as a way of keeping a close eye on what's happening, lead tours of our HQ for groups of kids, respond to questions, and much more! Lisa loves purple puffles because they dance, and her penguin is working towards full Water Ninja status!

Tips to Parents: Fight Bullying! With many children now back in the classroom after school holidays now is a great time to sit down as a family and revisit the tough topic of bullying. Experts suggest parents talk to their kids about what's going on in their lives; remind them you're available to listen and help; and ask them to talk to a trusted adult if they're bullied or know someone who is. Cyberbullying of Saraapril

…Thanks Club Penguin Team for this info and suggestion :) I would LOVE to meet Lisa while getting a tour around the Club Penguin Office and see how they work TOGETHER to create our snow covered FUN world :)

Club Penguin Parents Update July 2012 :)

Today my Parents got this email from Disney Club Penguin :)

Dear Parents:

We don’t know what it’s like where you live, but in Club Penguin, music always sparks major excitement! In July, we turn up the volume for Ultimate Jam, a party packed with opportunities for imagination, creativity and self-expression.

Party On!
This month, Club Penguin transforms to celebrate all things music and dance. Your child can collect unique items in a daily music challenge, practice singing and dancing, and even form dance crews with their friends to perform on stages across the island. Hint: If they’re in the Forest, Cove or Mine Shack they may meet Cadence’s special guest dancers Rocky & CeCe – penguin personalities inspired by Disney Channel’s hit series Shake It Up. Club Penguin Ultimate Jam with Shake It Up!

Club Penguin CHEATS Ultimate Jam 2012 :)

Meet Cadence!
Since she introduced the Dance Contest game to Club Penguin in 2009, Cadence has been the island’s resident DJ and dance expert. She’s just released her debut single The Party Starts Now on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play! If your child visits the Epic Show Stadium they might see Cadence perform a clip from the song. You and your child can also learn dance moves and watch Cadence’s first music video The Party Starts Now!

Chime In!
A few of the parents around here have some great stories about our kids wanting to be superstars – sometimes in awkward places like the grocery store or library! If you have a fun story about your child’s quest for music and dance stardom, we’d love to hear it. Get in touch.

Did you know Club Penguin is on YouTube? Check out our official YouTube channel with your child and watch our latest videos together.

Club Penguin Parents Update Correction!

We Goofed!
In the most recent Parent Update newsletter, we suggested that during the Marvel Super Hero Takeover there were special Player Card backgrounds to get in the Super Villain Lair and Super Hero HQ. In fact, the hero Player Card background is in the Press Conference area of the Coffee Shop while the villain Player Card background is in the Jail (check the Police Station in the Plaza). And here's another tip to pass along: In the Pizza Shop, players can work together to get a free Money Bag item!
We're sorry for the error, and we hope you and your child are enjoying suiting up together to save Club Penguin. Club Penguin CHEATS Marvel Super Hero Takeover!

…Thanks for sending out an update about this Club Penguin I just wish for the poor Parents sake that tried to help their kids that you had done this sooner and not waited over a week…

Parents Update June 2012

Today my Parents got this email from Club Penguin!

Dear Parents:

The Club Penguin team always gets excited about the fun and creative online events we develop for our players. But when we confirmed plans for this month, our offices erupted with the loudest cheers ever!

Suit Up!
Starting June 14, the island transforms into a comic-style metropolis for the Marvel Super Hero Takeover! Members can dress up as Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and Loki. What a great opportunity to suit up together and work as a team to save - or destroy? - the island. Suggest your child head to the Hero HQ or Villain Lair to pick up a special background for their penguin player card. Learn more!

Get Imaginative
Does your child like to decorate and design? Soon in Club Penguin it will be easier than ever for them to create igloos as unique as they are! They can decorate faster, and, for the first time ever, save their designs and "Like" other players' igloos! If you've got a penguin too, why not show your appreciation for your child's creative expression by going online to "Like" their igloo?

Stay Safe
Whether they're playing Club Penguin at home or enjoying our Puffle Launch app on the go, your child can stay safer online by protecting their password. Let your child know a strong password should contain a combination of numbers and letters, in upper and lower case. Tell them not to use their name or other personally identifiable information in their password, and never to share it with anyone but a trusted adult.

Super Heroes and Super Villains have been big conversation around here lately. We'd love to hear your Super Hero favorites. Get in touch! Are you on Facebook? Check out our Club Penguin Parents page and "Like" us to receive news and tips for parents!.
- The Club Penguin Team

WARNING! DON’T Tell you kids to go to the Hero HQ or Villain Lair to find a Background as there are NONE THERE! This is an information BUG! More info to find the Backgrounds here FREE items to Find CHEATS!

Parents Update May 2012 :)

Dear Parents:

Ever dream of changing your identity or exploring a new place? One thing kids love about Club Penguin is how it lets them do just that! Especially this month, when the snow-covered island transforms into a mythical, medieval landscape where heroes rule the day!

Medieval Adventure
Starting May 17, princesses, knights, and dragons take over the island at the Medieval Party. Members can dress up, conquer quests and defeat Scorn the Dragon King. Here’s a hint to pass along to your child: In the Town, members who have the Skyward Staff can use it to help friends get into the magical Sky Kingdom.

Puffle Trouble
What happens when you combine adorable pet puffles and one of Club Penguin’s grumpiest villains, Herbert P. Bear? Trouble. Herbert wants to stop penguin parties from happening, and puffles just want to have fun. Watch Club Penguin’s 2nd animated short film with your child to see how the story unfolds. Puffle Trouble Video and FREE Code :)

Perfect Pet Care
Recently, we asked whether caring for a puffle had helped your child be a better pet owner in the real world. Here’s what you told us:
”Taking care of her puffles on Club Penguin helps my child take care of our pets in real life. She feeds them, takes them on walks, and gives them treats.”

”My child has paid more attention ever since she got a puffle. She's afraid her bunny will go back to the wilderness if she doesn't take as much care of it as she can.”
”Caring for the puffle did help my son become a better pet owner. He no longer squishes his cat.”

Whether you need more info on puffles, tips and hints to pass along to your child, or answers to your support questions, Twitter is a great way to stay connected with Club Penguin. Follow @CPParents and @SupportatCP.

Club Penguin Parents Update March 1, 2012 :)

Today my Parents got this Parent Update email from Disney Club Penguin :)

Dear Parents,

We love to engage and empower the kids who play Club Penguin! This month, we're all about sharing, caring and getting creative – both online and offline!

Share Stories
The success of Coins For Change shows how passionate our players are about changing the world. We asked what they'd say to kids who benefited from their generosity. Their responses inspired us to publish some in a book we'll send to libraries and schools we support around the globe. The finished book will also be available online for everyone to read in the coming months. Coins for Change Book :)

Party with Pets
From March 15-27 we'll celebrate the special love a child has for their pets with the Puffle Party! There are uniquely decorated areas for each color of puffle, and fun opportunities for kids to care for and play with their pets! And every penguin and puffle can get free matching hats! Suggest your child hunt around at Club Penguin's Town Center, Plaza, Ski Village and Ski Lodge to find their prizes.

Create Connections
If you and your child have some time and are looking for fun things to do together, check out our offline activities. From cooking and crafts to outdoor activities, there are lots of ways to connect and get creative. It's also a great place to get ideas on how to keep the kids busy offline while they're on school holidays!

Did you know for as little as $5 a month your child can become a Club Penguin member, and adopt and care for up to 20 puffle pets? To learn more or to purchase a membership, visit our membership section.

Club Penguin Parent Update February 2012 :)

Today my Parents got this Disney Club Penguin Update :)

Dear Parents,

From celebrating generosity to encouraging internet safety, this month we’re all about helping you and your child get more involved in Club Penguin’s thriving online community!

Celebrate Generosity!
December 2011 marked the fifth year of the Coins For Change online giving campaign, and thanks to the generosity of children like yours, it was a huge success! Kids donated almost 11 billion of their hard-earned, virtual coins to help decide how $2 M would be shared amongst three causes. Check out the results video with your child and congratulate their efforts. Together we’re changing the world!

Inspire Imagination!
One thing kids love about Club Penguin is the ability to get creative by dressing up their penguin! From fabulous frocks to flippered fashionistas, we’re celebrating all the looks penguins dream up, wear, and share with our first-ever Fashion Show, on in the Gift Shop until February 14! Ask your child to show you their favorite runway looks and join this celebration of style! Fashion Show Party in Gift Shop :)

Encourage Safety!
February 7 is Safer Internet Day around the world. This year’s theme: Connecting generations and educating each other. For more information and resources to help you and your family stay safe online check out what Childnet International and Netsmartz have to offer. And to find out about events and activities happening where you live, visit the Safer Internet Day website.

What steps do you take at home to help keep your kids safe online? Let us know.

Club Penguin Parent Update December 2011 :)

My Parents have got an email from Club Penguin :)

Dear Parents,

Here at Club Penguin we believe it’s better to give than to receive. So, we’re celebrating the holidays with special gifts for our players and the planet!

Celebrate Learning!
Our gift to parents is the Disney Parent App, an innovative new tool we're piloting to help you connect and engage with your child's Club Penguin experience.
While playing in the virtual world, kids explore concepts in reading, math, budgeting and more. Add the free App to your Facebook account to receive updates on your child's learning milestones and game achievements, as well as tips, secrets and gifts you can share! Try it out and let us know what you think!

Celebrate Change!
Each December, we empower our players to help change the world by donating virtual coins to the Coins For Change online giving campaign. To date, Coins For Change has donated $ 4.5 M to give kids and families in more than 40 countries medical care, a healthy environment, and safe places.
This year, we’re celebrating the fifth anniversary of Coins For Change by challenging players to donate more virtual coins than ever. If they fill the Lighthouse, we’ll double our annual cash donation to $2 M! Coins For Change begins December 15, so encourage your child to start saving coins now!

Celebrate Community!
With players around the world, Club Penguin truly is a global community. Here’s some feedback we’ve received from parents like you:
Christy from Canada says, "I have two daughters who love your site! It’s safe, fun and educational."
Alexander from Mexico writes, "I really love how my daughter enjoys Club Penguin. The site has taught her how to take care of pets, play and have fun!"
And from Raphael in Brazil, "Club Penguin is so cool. It teaches a lot of values to kids and also stimulates creativity and fun."

What do you think about Club Penguin? Visit our Parent Section and let us know!
Happy Holidays!

Club Penguin Parent Update November 2011 :)

Dear Parents,

We're always excited to tell you about what's going on in Club Penguin. And this month we've got a new party, a new game and a new language - almost more new than we knew what to do with!

Party Ninja Style!
November 24 marks the start of our biggest ever Card-Jitsu party. For two weeks, our snow-covered island will be transformed into a giant, martial arts dojo. Players can battle each other Card-Jitsu style in all kinds of new locations. And here's a secret to share with your child: If they put on their Fire or Water Ninja Suit and start dancing, they can control the weather – but only if they get other penguins to help them!

Wilkommen. Bienvenue. Welcome.
Want a fun way to practice a new language? Club Penguin is now available in German, so login with your child and say "Guten Tag"! With the launch of our fifth language (along with English, Portuguese, Spanish and French) and the continued growth of our global player community, we've expanded our team to provide more moderation and support – all part of our commitment to providing a fun and safe online environment.

Solve. Unlock. Explore.
Does your child have a pet puffle? Now they can take it with them to play our newest game, Pufflescape! This puzzle-based game located in the Club Penguin Pet Shop requires problem-solving and lateral thinking to locate hidden keys that unlock secret caves. And get this… while your child is having fun playing, they'll be exposed to concepts in physics!

Enjoy what's new in Club Penguin this month. If you don't already have a penguin, why not create one and explore the ice caves in Pufflescape with your child? We'd love to hear what you think of the game!

Club Penguin Parent Update October 2011 :)

Dear Parents,

Is October a busy month at your house? It sure is on Club Penguin island! Over the next few weeks we’re launching a ton of exciting features and events. And they’re all about fun for your child and peace of mind for you!

Chat Faster. Find Friends Faster.

Starting Oct. 13th. your child will have an easier time chatting with their friends.

We’ve developed new, intuitive chat technology that uses what a player is typing to suggest safe phrases. Penguins who want to type in their own messages still can – and everything goes through our filters and moderators – but they’ll have the option of choosing from a few hundred thousand, pre-approved phrases. (This Feature is not released yet)

Unlock a Free Halloween Treat

From Oct. 20 – Nov. 1 the island will transform for the biggest Halloween Party EVER. Your child can dress up like a ghost, go trick-or-treating, and visit the Haunted House.

As an added bonus, we’ve created a special Halloween surprise. Have your child login to clubpenguin.com, then click the “Unlock items online” icon. Enter the code PUMPKIN1 to claim a spooky virtual treat.

Celebrate Club Penguin’s Birthday!

October 24 marks our 6th Anniversary! In the Coffee Shop, there’ll be cake, a brand new Year Book, and this year’s exclusive party hat.

And here’s a tip to pass along to your child. Aunt Arctic will visit the Coffee Shop during the Anniversary Party, and if they meet her, they’ll earn her rare Stamp.

We hope you and your child enjoy all the celebrations this October!

Thanks to Trainman1405  for this information :)

See earlier Club Penguin Parents Update :)

UPDATE: Coming soon, your child will be able to add more friends than ever before – and find them online faster! They’ll also have an easier time chatting with those friends.
