Lets work TOGETHER and HELP :) On Tuesday 15 December 2009 I will hold a Fundraising Party that starts at The Beach outside the Lighthouse :) We will DONATE Coins and Party around the Island and visit Penguins Igloos on the Map :) BOTH Member and Non Members are INVITED! ALL Penguins Please come and TOGETHER we will have FUN, Dance and DONATE :) EVERY Coin COUNTS :)

Party starts at The Beach and will then be around Club Penguin Island :)

Hello Penguins!

The Christmas Party starts Friday but tons of you are already ahead of the game and you've started your own celebrations! All over the island there are lots of holiday themed igloos - and a bunch of reindeer, trees, and elves have been spotted helping with the construction in the Town and upstairs in the Night Club!!

Keep up with all the cool stuff you're doing to celebrate - and get ready for even more. I don't want to tell you everything, but you might want to make plans with some buddies to cheer up a tree at the Iceberg and check out a Christmas feast at the Pizza Parlor. The Lighthouse'll be rocking with performances for Coins For Change, and members will get to help deliver presents...

Let us know how you're getting ready for the party!

Club Penguin Screen Saver :)

Have you ever wonder…How can I make a Club Penguin Screen Saver on my Computer? If you have Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP you can make it yourself for FREE :) Follow these instructions and your Screen Saver can look like this :)

Here are the steps how to do it in Windows 7 (similar in other versions of Windows too) to follow to create your own Club Penguin Screen Saver:

1. Create a folder on your computer and place all images in it you want to use for the Screen Saver…
2. You need images for your Screensaver and on Club Penguins Community Wallpapers page you find Penguins and Puffle images…
3. Download all the wallpapers you want into your Screen Saver folder…I have Downloaded them ALL :)
4. Right click on your desktop and select Personalize
5. Click on the Screen Saver icon
6. In Screen Saver Settings select the Photos Screen Saver
    
7. Click on Settings… button
8. In Photos Screen Saver Settings click on Browse… button select the folder you created in the first step
9. Now you can change the Slide show speed and if you want to shuffle Pictures or not
   
10. Click on Save
    
11. Click on OK and you Have a New Screensaver :)

A new thing in Windows 7 is that you can have the desktop background to change pictures just like the screensaver :)

If you want to surprise you Dad, Mum or Siblings you can use other Pictures of you choice too and make a Great Personal Gift to them :) Remember to ask for Permission before you  borrow their computer :)I will make a New Screensaver to my Grandpa and add Pictures of Our Penguins, And Real Pictures with Littletias, Me and All our Cousins That will make Grandpa so HAPPY :) I Wish Club Penguin made a New Coins for Change Wallpaper so I could add that too :)

Celebrate Change

For the third consecutive year, Club Penguin is encouraging its players to make a difference in the lives of others by donating Coins for Change.

Between December 11 and 21, players can donate coins they earn playing games on Club Penguin to support kids who are sick, kids who are poor or the environment. Each donation is a vote to decide how a $1 million cash donation will be shared by organizations working to make the world a better place.

Support Valuable Projects

Donations to kids who are sick will help provide health care and medical treatment.

By choosing kids who are poor our players support a nutrition program and a peace centre to educate children displaced by war and conflict.

Giving coins to the environment will help educate and encourage other kids to protect the world’s wildlife and the places they call home.

Explore New Ways to Give

Players can visit one of several donation stations around the island or buy one for their igloo and invite their penguin friends to a fundraising bash. Kids can also attend a special fundraising concert at the Lighthouse, and even visit the "Fun Activities" section to check out suggestions on things they can do in their own community to make a difference.

Results will be announced December 24th!

Projects and Partner Organizations

Kids who are poor

• Nutrition program to feed thousands of malnourished and at-risk children in Haiti— Partners In Health (pih.org) works in some of the world’s poorest communities to make sure children get food, clean water, health care and education.
• Peace centre to educate 20,000 young children displaced by war and conflict in Sri Lanka—War Child (warchild.ca) is dedicated to lessening the effects of poverty, providing education and defending and fighting for the rights of children whose lives have been torn apart by war.

Kids who are sick

• Critical health care and treatment programs for impoverished children in Haiti—Partners In Health (pih.org)
• Construction of a health clinic in Kenya—Free The Children (freethechildren.org), has more than one million young people involved in innovative education and development programs in 45 countries.

The environment

• Programs to inspire children to protect coral reefs in Indonesia, wetlands in China, and forests in South America to ensure food and clean water for communities and critical habitat for sea turtles, orangutans and other endangered species—Rare(rareconservation.org) supports real-life superheroes in more than 50 countries to protect the world’s most endangered animals forests, rivers, oceans and the people that live near them.
• Scholarships and educational programs focused on protecting the African wild dog, the elephant and the snow leopard. Wildlife Conservation Network (wildlifeconservationnetwork.org) works to protect endangered species and the places they live by supporting conservationists who demonstrate entrepreneurship through innovative projects.

…Ahoy!! I be telling another tale!!!! So there I was Sailing around the North Pole Ahoy captain When Santa lands his sled on me ship! Santa! What ye be doing here!? And he says Rockhopper! We can’t see through this fog And I have to deliver presents! Will you help me save Christmas? So I says Sure! I’ve got just the thing So I went and put on me glowing clown nose Then I stood on the front of Santa’s sled! That’s how I saved Christmas! THE END :)

Me and my Friend Y27s decide to work TOGETHER at the Coins for Change Donation Station at The Beach :) On December 24 Club Penguin will announce how much coins we collected and how they will be used in the Real World to Help Children :) So let’s see how much coins we can Raise TOGETHER until then :)
