This week, starting April 22, Club Penguin will be celebrating Earth Day! For a long time we've heard from many of you who wanted the chance to help protect the environment on the island. This event is that chance!

Everyone will be able to pitch in and help. And there's a special surprise too - a special room is being added that will stick around after the event is done! What kind of room is it? Well...

LOOK at the Recycling Depot! Are we Building a GREENHOUSE in Club Penguin!!! WOHOO!!!!!  If we are I will waddle in there and NEVER Leave! LOL :) Look at the Pretty Flowers at the Entry Club Penguin gets Better and Better :) 

For Years I have done Experiments with Flowers and Plants in my Igloo and it would be AWESOME to have a Greenhouse to work in too :) I Remember when I talked to Uncle Gary and he thought a Greenhouse would be a GREAT Idea and TOGETHER we talk to The Director about it :) Playing with Herbert and Klutzy – My Stories and Adventures :)
I know this Room will be a Center for Recycling and I Wish that a part of it will be a Greenhouse too…Time will Tell :)
This is so FANTASTIC!  RECYCLEIASTIC!!  FLOWERIASTIC!!! I Wish Earth day started TODAY!!!

Bamboo Hut Igloo :)

Yesterday Littletias bought a Bamboo Hut Igloo and this is how he Furniture his Home :) I LOVE the Rock Climbing Mountain :) Littletias LOVES to have his OWN computer here in CP…LOL :) Time to Play Club Penguin :)

…TOGETHER with our Green Puffles Gosig and Forest we had a Dance Party in The Box Dimension :)

…It was so much FUN when Littletias got his Igloo Back but Today Littletias Membership Expired! So now his Igloo is Back in Storage again…The Storage Picture is ANIMATED so he can see the Fishes swimming around and the screensaver at The Computer and the Box Dimension Portal…That is COOL :)

…I bought a Bamboo Hut Igloo too :) Time to Decorate :)

…Done :) Look some of my outfit is made in the same Material as the Couch :) Gary must have made some progress with his Recycle Machine…GREAT RECYCLED :)

…Rockhopper’s Plants have changed again :) This time it is the Big Tree :) See Earlier update of Rockhopper’s Flowerpots :)

…Now I will take a Waddle Around Club Penguin Island to see what GREEN things I can do :)

Stage Postcards GONE!

Today when I sent a Think Green Card to my Friend Femelaping I noticed that Both Stage Postcards were Removed from The Catalog… 

…I wonder Why? The Penguin Play Awards Winner the Quest for The Golden Puffles is still here at The Stage so we should have Postcards about that to send to our Friends…Is this a Bug or a Mistake from Club Penguin or did they do this on Purpose?

Today I visited my Aunt Arctic at her Office and she had the Most Exciting News :) Hi Saraapril she Said I just interviewed Billybob over the Phone and he had some more Details to add about the Earth Day Celebration :)

…Cool! I said can you tell me? My Aunt started to Laugh and said smiling to me…You want a little Sneak Peek for your Blog I guess? Yes I smiled if it is Possible? Sure Aunt Arctic said and smiled back at me GREAT POSITIVE News like this deserves to be Spread Fast :) First do you Remember Billybob’s Sneak Peek from April 5? Aunt Arctic Asks: What is the Purpose of an Earth Day in Club Penguin and can you tell us how you hope this will effect The Offline Real World?

Billybob Answers:

"Our players constantly ask for ways they can improve the virtual world of Club Penguin and the world at large, and we like to encourage that spirit of global citizenship and giving back," says Lane Merrifield, co-founder of Club Penguin and executive vice president of Disney Online Studios. "Children today are far more environmentally aware than ever before and they truly want to make a difference. It’s important that their experiences on Club Penguin reflect and reinforce those ideals."

The Earth Day party will allow the kids who play Club Penguin to work together to make good things happen in the online community, and will include the launch of a permanent recycling depot and community garden, which players will be responsible for maintaining. In addition, players will have the opportunity to help plant and nurture a community tree, which will become a permanent fixture on the virtual island’s snow-covered landscape. In an effort to further promote sustainability and encourage environmentally friendly behavior, Club Penguin will also offer suggestions on things kids can do in the real world.

"We hope by taking an active role in caring for the virtual environment of Club Penguin, where their penguin avatars live, work and play, the kids will realize they have an important role to play, and they’ll take those lessons into their home communities and find ways to make a positive difference in the real world," says Lane Merrifield aka Billybob :)
