Spike Hike Reporting For Duty!

Message from Spike Hike:

Hey Penguins!
Spike Hike here. My real name is Chris Heatherly, and as you may have heard last week, I'm stepping into Lane's big shoes. You probably don't know me, but I've been working and playing on Club Penguin for a long time! (Picture BUG!)

I first met the Club Penguin Team in 2007 when I worked for Disney Toys. When I first came to Penguin, I fell in love with what the team was doing. Together we worked on the first Penguin toy line. Billybob and I got to launch the toys in the biggest penguin party ever in New York City! We had Club Penguin projected onto the Jumbotron so that kids from around the world could join the party.
As a dad, I've been playing Club Penguin with my three kids for years. My twins even had a Club Penguin birthday party and I dressed up as Herbert. Herbert had stolen the puffles and the kids had to throw "snowballs" at him and get him to drop the sack of puffles. The kids tackled me to the ground and pelted me with snowballs!

Lane and I became really good friends and talked a lot about his vision for Club Penguin. When he asked me to join Club Penguin it was a dream come true! For the last year and a half, I've been able to work on parties, penguin shorts and music videos. As a long time player and as a dad, Club Penguin is very special to me.
As Billybob said in his farewell post, one thing about Club Penguin will never change – it has always been about you guys and always will be.
Until next time… Waddle On!
-Club Penguin Team

Club Penguin Support keeps Advertising Innocent Smoothies and now they have made a Contest where you can Win 1 of 5 cases of innocent smoothies IF you Retweet their message and Follow them on Twitter!

…By the way you MUST be OVER 18 Years Old and a resident of UK, Republic of Ireland, Channel Islands or Isle of Man to enter this Contest! I think Disney’s Club Penguin Advertising for a third party Brand Product is very bad taste and it’s very Unappealing to me!

*Ask an adult for help

You Will Need

  • A print-out of the puffle pumpkin template
  • A parent or guardian
  • A pumpkin carving tool
  • A washable felt marker
  • Scissors
  • Tape

Instructions

1.    Prepare your pumpkin by having a parent/guardian help you scoop out the inside.
2.    Print out the puffle pumpkin template.
3.    Have a parent help you cut out the black sections of the printable sheet.
4.    Stick the printable sheet to your pumpkin with tape.
5.    Trace around the inside of the cut-out sections with a black marker.
6.    Take the printable off the pumpkin. Now you're just left with lines.
7.    With a parent or guardian, carve the pumpkin around the black lines. Start with the eyes and mouth, then do the hair and outlines.
8.    Go over the thin lines again and widen them until you can see all the way through.
9.    Remove the cut-out bits of pumpkin and show it off to your friends!

Tip

  • Once you’re done, wash off any left-over marker with a wet cloth.

Use the cauldron you made in the Arts & Crafts as a candy bucket for Halloween. Or fill it up with slimy things and have your friends search it for candy!

You Will Need

  • Your cauldron
  • Several large bowls
  • A blindfold
  • Cooked spaghetti noodles
  • Olive oil
  • Pickled onions

  1. Set up your cauldron on a table and fill it with wrapped candy (your prize!).
  2. Fill different bowls with cooked spaghetti noodles, pickled onions, jello with worms, and some olive oil!
  3. Bring together some friends or family, but make sure they can't see what's in the bowls (you can use a blindfold).
