Gariwald and the haunted mansion vanished this week.
This darkness is past, and Halloween hijinks haunt the island no more! After a truly terrifying party things are returning to normal. But not everyone is happy to see the ghosts go...
“Take care great uncle,” said Gary the Gadget Guy, waving farewell to Gariwald. “It was significantly delightful to exchange pleasantries with you.” “Farewell Gary, my boy,” Gariwald replied, as he and the haunted mansion began to fade from sight. “And who knows? Maybe we’ll meet again next year. Until then, keep inventing! You make me proud. And remember: safety first!” “I will great uncle. Good luck in your research!” “Jolly good!” And with that, Gariwald VIII the Contraption Chap was gone again. “If anyone needs me, I’ll be in my lab,” Gary said. “The Halloween darkness gave me some ideas for some new gadgets that might come in handy during an ‘unexpected’ blackout. Cheers!” Will we see Gariwald again? Only time will tell.

Will we ever get a new penguin color?–Ivana Nu Collar
It has been some time, hasn’t it? I had to check through the archives to find out when the last color was released. It was Aqua, way back in August of 2009! I stopped by the Gift Shop to see if anyone knew of any rumors. “Vell, as you know, new pengvin colors are very rare,” said a color specialist. “Ve can’t just splash ze paint on you! Ve must have ze right mixture for ze sensitive skin!” I asked the specialist if he knew when a new one would be coming out. “Ahh! For zis, you must look to ze history! First new color vas in November 2006. Zhen in August 2009. So it looks like every three years, ya?” “Maybe new color is right around corner? Or maybe not! Ha ha! Ve shall see!”

Dear Kar Ving, I had forgotten about that statue, and it’s not often that I forget a piece of Club Penguin trivia. After doing a little digging, I can only say one thing for sure: it is a VERY strange statue. I asked a couple of penguins digging in the community garden what they thought, and they had a few answers. “Oh that thing? That’s been around for a long time,” one gardener said. “It was here when the veggie patch was built in 2010.” Her puffle nodded in agreement. “I just chalk it up to general weirdness,” said an apprentice. “Probably got burped up by the Box Dimension or something.” “I can’t even tell what it is,” the first gardener replied. “Is it supposed to be a space ship? We need to find the artist and ask them.” A mystery! And for some reason it makes me nervous. Thanks for your question, Kar Ving.
