Puffle Handbook 2013 Updated :)

The Puffle Handbook is Updated again :)

What is A Puffle? Puffles are small, round, furry creatures. Each color is unique. And they make great pets! Most species are native to the wilds of Club Penguin, but some were discovered far away. Everyone can adopt 2 puffles (red and blue). And members can adopt every color - up to 20! How to Adopt a Puffle?

Care: Your Puffle’s stats tell you when it is happy, sad, hungry, tired or messy. Give them snacks, toys, baths, and sleep to fill their stats. Go to Pet Papers to read the Puffle Handbook, or to view your Adoption Certificates. Care for your Puffle to keep it happy. If its stats get too low, it may return to the wilds. Four Teams to Compete!

Gather your team for the Scare Games!

By Aunt Arctic — Are you scary? Do you have fierce attitude? Are you an all star? Do you like cake? Three fraternities and one sorority are on the look out for the scariest scarers!

These games are not for the faint of heart. Only serious scarers will compete for the win! There is going to be some stern competition soon, so rival teams will be recruiting the best of the best. So gather your friends to practice your brand of scare! I caught up with a group of students in the Quad who were studying their scare techniques. “We’ve been practicing our zombie snarls and gusher howls for weeks!” one told me. “This campus event is gonna be HUGE, so just when you think you’ve got a big enough scare... make it BIGGER! It can never be loud enough, fierce enough, or epic enough!” Get your scares ready, the games begin—June 27!

OUR 400TH ISSUE :)

From reporting on the discovery of puffles to getting the inside scoop on Card-Jitsu Snow, the Club Penguin Times is the island’s source of breaking news! And we’ve learned everything we need to know about stinky cheese from Rockhopper! All of this is and more—thanks to devoted readers like you! I wonder how many words you’ve read in 400 issues?

Ask Aunt Arctic :)

How long have you been writing stories? – Howie Long
Writing stories has always come as naturally as playing Mancala. Thinking back, I have been writing as long as I can remember. I became editor in chief in 2008, but have been writing the newspaper for much longer.

Do you ever take a break from the newspaper? – Art T. Cull
As you know, I am always busy researching the current events on the island. But luckily I get help from guest writers, and some anonymous sources. Although the paper is loads of fun, I have other commitments to attend to.

What does it take to write an article? – Reece Urchin
Articles require a lot of research and fact checking. When I’m not researching, I’m following up on leads. When I’m not following leads, I’m editing, reviewing layout, and making tea. There is always work to be done!

Becoming a good writer takes a lot of hard work!

How do I become a writer?–Ivana Wright
I’m always delighted to hear when someone is interested in persuing a career in writing! Becoming a writer is not an easy path to take, but it’s definitely an exciting one! Here are a few tips that aspiring writers should always keep in mind: Becoming a ninja with your words requires practice, patience, and pen power. I always encourage my readers to read, read, then read some more! A writer’s success does not happen overnight, so keep working at it. Write every chance you get! Good luck! I look forward to reading your work.
