Question: How To Handle a Bullying Situation?

This is a message by Megg: Hey Penguins! In support of National Bullying Prevention Month, I thought it would be a good idea to share some tips I found from the PACER National Bullying Prevention Center website.

Bullying can happen anywhere, it can happen in your school or even while you're online. We do our best to keep everyone safe but if you notice yourself or someone else being bullied, here's what to do:

SPOT: Bullying can be physical, such as pushing, hitting, or taking and breaking someone else's things. It can also be verbal or online, such as name calling, sending mean messages, or making fun of another person. All these are meant to hurt another person and are not okay.

BE HEARD: There are lots of things you can do if you see bullying. Here are a few ways to help:

• Ask the person bullying to stop. They might not realize that they are hurting the other person.
• Don't join in. Someone who bullies often likes the attention and if you don't acknowledge it then it takes some of the fun out it.
• Reach out. Let the person who was bullied know that you care about them by offering a kind word of support.
• Tell an adult. If you are unable to stop the bullying yourself then tell an adult. Adults can help you enforce the rules and make sure something is done.

…Thanks for posting about this! NOBODY deserves to be Bullied! I think it’s sad that there are so many thoughtless and deliberately unkind people in the world that have nothing better to do with their lives than being mean to others! As a Club Penguin Blogger I’m bullied online both by kids and grownups! I want to say THANKS to ALL of you that bravely have told my and others bullies to stop! There were some awesome skateboarding tricks happening at the last party, I was so impressed. Take a look at the picture, high five penguin pals!

This week I want to keep in with the school theme; so I’ve turned my iggy in to “Chatta College”. I’m inviting you all to come along in your favourite school-themed outfit and get ready to learn about all things fashion and fun. No need to worry about bringing lunch, Chatta College has a cafeteria and a SMOOTHIE MACHINE; I’m on my fifth strawberry smoothie already! Yum! Don’t forget to bring along your puffles too; especially if you have a brown puffle, they love to learn. Let's meet in the Forest on the Down Under server on Thursday 9th October. Here are the times:

• 4pm East Australian Standard Time
• 6pm New Zealand Standard Time
• 10pm Penguin Standard Time on Wednesday 8th October for everyone over in the US and Canada
• 6am on Thursday 9th October for my pals in the UK.
